How to make stress your friend | Kelly McGonigal
Kelly McGonigal shares with us the conclusion that stress itself is not always bad for your health, and that we can change our thinking on stress to have a positive effect.
The signs that we get in our bodies when put under stressful situations tell us that we can’t cope with what is happening. But what if we were to think on these as positive connections, gearing us up for the situation so we can respond correctly.
Stress is also a good motivator to being social, and asking for help in these situations. And through oxytocin, which is released when stressed, we can actually heal ourselves and even then relieve the stress in the process.
We must work on getting better at stress rather than fighting it, and connect with others to build up strength against it.
