GOSIA SCARROTT – HOW TO BUILD INNER TRUST IN YOURSELF
The biggest resource we all have, our greatest power we often overlook is:
R E S O U R C E F U L N E S S
We are pretty damn resourceful; all of us.
Connecting to that inner ability can help us cultivate self-worth. I don’t mean here any achievements on the outside (certificates, job promotions, money, prestige etc), rather, that sense of self-respect and inner trust that comes from the fact you have kept your very own promises to yourself.
Now, realistically it is not possible to always do all you genuinely planned to do, be it GYM workout, reading x books a month or creating x videos in a week etc.
However, creating small manageable “Keep Promise To Myself” Daily or Weekly Challenges may be transformational to building that sense of self-trust.
Today I would like to suggest you set up a small 5 day challenge for yourself , eg:
“I will contact one person/ organisation a day to enquire about public speaking opportunity”.
“I will read 2 pages of my new book a day”
“I will pay attention to what I think every time I feel stressed out at work this week”
“I will offer a help at work without being asked to do so, Mon-Fri this week”
And so on.
How does this sound?
Remember to make it a manageable challenge. If it goes well and you keep that promise to yourself every day it will build your inner confidence in yourself.
The key is to START and DO IT.
Self-reliance is one of the key fundaments of building that sense of worth which is at heart of your self-confidence that move you forward in life.
Let me know what small challenge you are setting up for next week and how accomplishing it make you feel.
