3 WAYS TO MAKE THE MOST OF YOUR TIME
3 things you can do to make the most out of your time
A common phrase that I hear most people saying is “I don’t have enough time to do XZY”, “I’m too busy.” If I’m being completely honest, this used to include me too. I personally sleep for 6 hours a day, go to school for a total of 10, and then I have 8 hours to do school work and then build my dreams. However, despite having 8 hours I still kept saying “I’m stressed”, “I’m too busy.” The first lesson that I learnt during the start of my self-development was this: YOUR TIME IS INCREDIBLY VALUABLE.
You get the same 24 hours as Mark Zuckerberg, Oprah Winfrey, Les brown, Gary Vaynerchuk etc. The point I am trying to get across is that you dreams don’t care about your excuses about how you “don’t have enough time” to make it happen.
I’m going to be sharing three things that you can do to make the most out of your time. It is important to stay laser focused when doing a particular task, so you can produce the best results.
You need to spend a short amount of time planning what you want to do each hour of the day. Remember, it doesn’t always have to be work. Make sure you set time aside to spend time with your loved ones too! The reason why you need to plan each hour of the day, is so you don’t waste time. If you’ve scheduled in when to work and when to relax you’ll get SO much more done. Unfortuantely, you don’t just wake up and suddenly know what you’re doing with the 24 hours you’ve been given! It takes determination and perseverance to have consistent productive days. The more productive you are, the better results you produce.
“A GOAL WITHOUT A PLAN, IS JUST A WISH”
I think this is the number one thing that separates the average and the great. The great can prioritize on the tasks which are important, and then they spend the rest of their time DOING. The truth is that not everything you come across will be aligned to your vision and values. It’s important to focus on the things that will help you move forward. To save time, don’t dwell on if you should be working hard or smart. You just need to execute on your priorities the best way possible. You know what you need to do to accomplish your dreams, so it’s really just about DOING.
“IF IT IS IMPORTANT TO YOU, YOU’LL FIND A WAY. IF IT’S NOT, YOU’LL FIND AN EXCUSE”
3.) CUT THE NEGATIVITY
If you really want to excel, you need to make sure that the tribe around you, really support you in what you do. A lesson that I learnt recently was incredibly powerful, and I want to share it with you.
LESSON: “IF YOU KNOW WHO THE BAD PEOPLE ARE IN YOUR LIFE, IT MEANS THAT YOU ARE SPENDING TOO MUCH TIME WITH THEM.”
Whether it’s in a work or school environment, you need to surround yourself with positive people. I get it that often it becomes impossible if the people around are you average and you just don’t fit in. Push through the pain, feed your mind with positive thoughts and be grateful for the people in your life who are like-minded and what to become great!
Don’t let words of others get to you. As Les Brown said, someone’s opinion of you, doesn’t have to become you reality. Your reality is created by your own belief system.
For me personally, in school people told me that I’m crazy and I’m thinking too big, but when I surround myself with like-minded people they help me accomplish my dreams, then tell me to dream bigger!
THERE ARE 24 HOURS IN A DAY. THERE ARE 86400 SECONDS IN DAY. I HOPE EACH AND EVERYONE SINGLE ONE YOU READING THIS RIGHT NOW VALUE YOUR TIME ENOUGH TO DO SOMETHING GREAT.
